Project Description:
Liberty Magnet School is located on State Route 510 in Sebastian, Florida and is part of the International Baccalaureate Programming.

The school is oriented to take advantage of Natural Breezes and topography. The entrance is a commanding 2 story semi-circular feature which connects as a visual link to the auditorium and cafetorium. Approximately 60% of the School is single story, the remainder a mixture of 2 story volumes and single story with clear story features.

The classroom pods are stand-alone structures attached to the main school with glass ethereal links. Wherever possible natural daylight is allowed into internal corridors from high level to create a pleasant bright environment. The Art Building, Multi-Purpose and Covered PE are stand-alone structures all inter connected to the Main Campus via covered walkways. A standing seam metal roof was chosen to accentuate the multi-level facilities, but also in an effort to harmonize with the surrounding residential neighborhood.

A steel pedestrian bridge links the campus to it s surrounding separated by a canal. The School incorporates wireless technology in all classrooms, security is provided by acard readersystem and the air conditioning system throughout is chilled water with ice storage. The current occupancy is 520 Student Stations, but the core facilities are designed to accommodate 784 stations.
