Project Description:
Flight Safety International is a training facility for commercial airline pilots from around the world. The building is the headquarters surrounded by dormitories and nestled within an existing oak tree hammock.

The structure is a 2 story rigid frame clad with stucco panels and horizontal aluminum and glass solar control fenestration. In plan form the building resembles an aircraft. The building contains administrative offices, extensive library, teaching classrooms, cafeteria, restrooms, a large flight simulator bay containing three flight training modules for three different aircrafts and four computer control rooms which are the nerve center for the whole facility. All cables, fiber optics, electrical lines, and pneumatic pipes are trenched below the floor and readily accessed by removable steel plate covers.

The facility is computer networked with all other Flight Safety International facilities around the globe, thus providing instant access, retrieval and sharing of information.
