Project Description:
This Building is the Research and Development Component for XLVision, Inc. It is the second building developed in their Research Park located in Sebastian, Florida. Both buildings are separated by a man-made lake and connected with a bridge structure.XL Vision, Inc. serves as an incubator for developing products dealing with high tech imaging.

The building is Industrial in nature and this is reflected in the choice of building materials; steel rigid frame, metal panels, architectural block, glass and steel storefront. The building consists of the 2 Story Research & Development Facility connected to the Employees Gymnasium and Leisure Area which in turn is connected to the Administration Wing via a 2 Story "Spine" which brings lateral daylight into the corridor below. The termination of the "Spine" is an imposing glass and steel pointed structure which announces the Building Entrance.

Part of the Design Brief from XL Vision, Inc. was to create a corporate image which reflects the High Tech Nature of their Business and the imposing presence of this structure does just that.
